Favorites Friday

Friday feature:  favorite finds for my home, for my wardrobe, and in my dreams.

Kate Spade Abington Darcy:  This handbag is simply the most perfectly designed bag for my everyday needs.  It has ample space for phone, wallet, a small makeup bag and more.  Yet, it's not SO big that I lose said items into the abyss.  I'm so happy to see it's back!

I bought it last year in the mouse gray color, and it suits any and all outfits.  I picked it up majorly on sale, but it truly is worth every penny.

 Vintage drafting tables

I was tickled pink to have my very own drafting table when I started design school.  I sit there many restless nights since, drafting and sketching into the morning hours.

Mine is an old banged up wood table with an iron pedestal and a backless stool of the same style.  It was the old standard years ago for the designers in my grandfather's (and then dad's) billboard business.  I love the history, I love the drafting grooves etched into the surface, and I love the warmth and inspiration it brings.

Get Back always has great finds.

Happy Friday!

Favorites Friday

Friday feature:  favorite finds for my home, for my wardrobe, and in my dreams.

Dress forms make such a statement in a room.  I will sometimes dress mine up for the season or for the decor in the room, and I will even move it from room to room when the mood strikes.

This one for sale on ebay is much more affordable and similar to the dress form draped with costume jewelry in my living room!

Klein Tool Bags:

5115 Leather Tote Bag

5106 Straight Wall Bucket

I recently purchased this tote bag and tool bucket to house our socks, undershirts, and camisoles.  We recently installed black open shelving in our bedroom as a departure from a clunky dresser and a way to get a built-in feel while maintaining floor space and airiness.

I wanted to both disguise and contain these items in an interesting way.  I had tirelessly looked through every blessed last closet organizer type canvas bin, and they were all either less than attractive or too deep for the shelf.  I stumbled upon these tool bags on one of my searches, and I was immediately drawn to them.   I like the unexpectedness of displaying them in the bedroom.  They are well-made, sturdy, beautiful, and functional...  and my Friday Favorite!
